The Historic Daniel Boone Home at Lindenwood Park

The Historic Daniel Boone Home at Lindenwood Park is 5 mi. w. on SR F. The frontiersman supervised construction of this four-story, Georgian-style structure, which took 7 years to build, and lived in it until his death in 1820. The house contains many Boone family belongings. More than a dozen 19th-century structures on the grounds, including a gristmill, chapel and schoolhouse, were relocated to create Boonesville Village and restored to represent life in Boone's day. Several of them can be visited. Special events include living history days and Candlelight Christmas Tours, which are offered the first two Friday and Saturday nights in December.
