AAA Editor Notes
Six Flags St. Louis, off I-44 at 4900 Six Flags Rd., has more than 100 rides, shows and attractions. The park's lineup of roller coasters includes American Thunder, an eight-story-tall wooden coaster; Boomerang; The Boss; Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast; Batman: The Ride; Screamin' Eagle; Ninja; Pandemonium; and the River King Mine Train. Other thrill rides include the Superman: Tower of Power free-fall ride and Skyscreamer, a 236-foot-tall swing ride. In 2019, Six Flags St. Louis debuted SUPERGIRL. Drawing on Supergirl’s powers of stamina and strength, thrill seekers spin and tilt, all while suspended from the whirling wheel of justice. Riders are raised up by a giant arm, feet dangling, and then launched into a high-speed spin.
Just for kids, Bugs Bunny National Park offers eight rides, a tree house play structure and an interactive fountain. Visitors also can experience Thunder River, a white-water raft ride; Colossus, an 18-story Ferris wheel; Xcalibur's spinning wheel and the family-friendly Tsunami Soaker ride, featuring nine spinning boats equipped with huge water guns.
Hurricane Harbor, a 12-acre tropical-themed water park that is free with park admission, has a wave pool, a lazy river, a five-story tree house, speed and tube slides, the funnel-shaped Tornado ride and the Bonzai Pipeline body slide, which features Skybox launching capsules.
Holiday in the Park features rides, treats and holiday season entertainment for the whole family. On select days November through December, enjoy a winter wonderland as the park is illuminated by thousands of festive lights. Carolers sing yuletide favorites, and park guests delight in a meet-and-greet with Santa Claus and Looney Tunes characters.
