National Museum of Toys and Miniatures is at 5235 Oak St. exhibits the world’s largest collection of fine-scale miniatures and one of the nation’s largest collections of historic toys on view. Highlights from the toy collection include the 9-foot-tall Coleman dollhouse circa 1864, a Baby Moss doll by doll artist Leo Moss circa 1895 and a floor-to-ceiling kinetic marble sculpture.

The fine-scale miniature collection features contemporary artworks that are created in exquisite detail, right down to the dovetailed drawers and often function like their full-scale counterparts. Notable architectural works include a replica of the Palace of Versailles, Twin Manors (a Colonial Georgian mansion) and the Studiolo Gubbio from the Gubbio Palace in Italy.

Such special events as storytelling, scavenger hunts, family days, holiday events, craft workshops and temporary toy exhibits take place throughout the year.
