National World War I Museum and Memorial, 2 Memorial Dr., is dedicated to remembering, interpreting and understanding World War I and its enduring impact on the global community. The museum and memorial hold one of the most comprehensive collections of World War I objects and documents in the world. Visitors take an epic journey through personal stories of courage, honor, patriotism and sacrifice that make the experiences of the war era meaningful and relevant for present and future generations.

The 217-foot-tall Liberty Memorial Tower takes visitors to an open-air observation deck at the top for panoramic views of downtown Kansas City. Several fountains grace the landscaped grounds.
