Canton Multicultural Center & Museum is at 200 W. Center St. The museum describes the cultural heritage and contributions of Canton residents and features a permanent exhibit recounting the Civil Rights Movement. Visitors can choose among several videotaped interviews of citizens describing their experiences in Canton. A special exhibit highlights the life of Sister Thea Bowman, an African American Franciscan nun who was raised in Canton and became a teacher, lecturer, gospel singer and evangelist.

Note: Tickets must be purchased at the Canton Welcome Center on the west side of the square.
