AAA Editor Notes
Delta Blues Museum is in the renovated freight depot at 1 Blues Alley. Visitors to the state's oldest music museum (established in 1979) can explore the meaning, value and perspective of the unique American art form known as the blues. Stage outfits, art, photography and musical instruments—including harmonicas played by Sonny Boy Williamson II and one of B.B. King's “Lucille” guitars—help tell the story of the Delta blues and its vast influence on today's music. The remains of Muddy Waters' childhood home is a focal point of the museum's 7,300-square-foot addition. The Delta Blues Museum Stage is a venue for several local music festivals.

Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
