AAA Editor Notes
Historical Museum at Fort Missoula, 3400 Captain Rawn Way, is at the center of what was Fort Missoula, established in 1877 at the height of the conflict with the Nez Perce under Chief Joseph. Galleries and exhibits depict the roles of the timber industry, forest management, the fort and early settlement in Missoula County history. Of the 21 historic structures and several original fort buildings that remain, 10 have been restored.
