AAA Editor Notes
Kings Landing is off Hwy. 2 exit 253. This 121-hectare (300-acre) site is a meticulous restoration of a typical 19th-century New Brunswick village, including farms, houses, a forge, a restaurant, a printing office, a school, a store and a theater. Many of these historic and architecturally significant Loyalist-era buildings were dismantled and relocated when a dam project along the river's flood plain threatened to eradicate them.

Special events include historical re-enactments, fall festivals and a Christmas candlelight dinner. Visitors can participate in a variety of workshops as well as farm chores, 19th-century food preparation techniques, wool spinning and other traditional forms of handiwork, instructed by villagers in period garb. There are activities for kids, including a play park. Free wagon rides are offered daily.

Time: Allow 3 hours minimum.
