The oldest continually operating motel in the Outer Banks—open since the 1940s—offers many charming, nostalgic features, including a welcoming veranda with white columns stocked with rocking chairs. The knotty pine paneled lobby with a brick hearth feels more like the living room of an old cottage. Its wide walkways are lined with Adirondack chairs to enjoy the sea breezes. Room sizes vary; some are large, but others are cozy. YMCA passes are available.
