The Yellow House on Plott Creek Road

Set on five acres amid extensive landscaping and a small pond, the inn is comprised of seven rooms in an 1885 home and three multi-room suites in a reconfigured, mid-century split level house. All rooms are individually decorated with plump bedding and quality furnishings. Room sizes vary, ranging from cozy bedrooms with a queen bed and vintage-tiled bathroom, to a two-room suite with a private veranda and a jack-and-jill bathroom. The Carriage House is a premium room, offering a king bed, private balcony overlooking a pond, and expansive bathroom with soaking tub and separate shower. Several rooms have a two-person jetted bathtub, and four units have private entrances for those craving more seclusion. Two units are pet-friendly; call for details. Fresh-baked goodies are featured each afternoon, and guess can help themselves to snacks and beverages in the butler’s pantry. A three-course breakfast is served each morning in two separate seatings, and can be enjoyed in the dining room, living room, or on the veranda in pleasant weather. Early birds can request a grab-and-go bag if they’re heading out to hike before 8:30 a.m. In the evenings, relax on the veranda or around the fire pit, or check out a book or board game in the den.
