International Quilt Study Center & Museum, on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's east campus at 1523 N. 33rd St., jct. 33rd and Holdrege sts., houses what is said to be the world's largest publicly held collection of quilts. The dramatic glass and brick building hosts frequently rotating exhibitions that highlight traditional, contemporary, international and artistic quilt and patchwork traditions.

The collection features more than 5,000 quilts and quilt-related items which represent more than 50 countries and span four centuries. Prominent collections include quilts made by African Americans and the Pennsylvania Amish, a group of 18th- and 19th-century French quilts and South Asian quilts. In the museum's digital gallery, visitors can view high-resolution images of the collection. Staff and volunteer conservators can be observed at work.

Guided and audio tours are available.
