Museum of the High Plains

Museum of the High Plains is at 421 Norris Ave. Exhibits and room displays portray late 19th- and early 20th-century living. Of special interest are a fossil collection, wall paintings salvaged from the World War II prisoner-of-war camp at Indianola and numerous railroad artifacts, including a High Plains model railroad. A replica of a pioneer drugstore is housed in the original building where the Kool-Aid idea was developed.
