Treasure Island Hotel & Casino is at 3300 Las Vegas Blvd. S. (at Spring Mountain Rd.). Don't tell Johnny Depp, but the shot-callers at Treasure Island don't think pirates are cool. When the hotel opened in the early '90s, its full-blown buccaneer theme pulled in plenty of families—but somewhere along the line it was decided that little ones exclaiming “Look, mommy! Pirates!” apparently didn't generate nearly as much cash as hipsters dropping Benjamins at the baccarat tables. Exit most of the casino's “Pirates of the Caribbean”-style décor. Enter a subtler ambience reminiscent of a South Seas paradise.

Among the usual mix of casino table games and a decent array of slots is an amazing, intricately carved woolly mammoth tusk. It's on display near the front entrance. The sportsbook, one of the Strip's nicest, has comfy leather chairs. And in what has become a city-wide trend, TI employs sexy blackjack dealers at the “Gilley Girls Party Pit,” located near Gilley's Saloon, Dance Hall & Bar-B-Que. Near the back of the casino you'll find the Mystère Theatre and a tram connecting TI with The Mirage next door.

Food is available.
