The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms is off I-287 exit 39, then 3 mi. w. to 2352 SR 10 at Manor Ln. Gustav Stickley, a key proponent of the American Arts and Crafts movement, built this log house on his 650-acre farm in 1911. Best known for his elegantly simple Craftsman, or Mission, furniture, Stickley was a major influence in home design and helped popularize the Bungalow movement in the United States. His house, situated on 35 acres, has been preserved, and many original furnishings have been reacquired.
