This New Jersey outpost from the upscale restaurant group owned by chef Michael White offers a menu studded with ultra fresh seafood and prime meats. Much like one might enjoy at White's Manhattan eateries, dinner entrées include such items as grilled Mediterranean branzino with forbidden rice in a pepper puree; red wine-braised short rib; splendid grilled octopus with squid ink; Long Island duck; Australian lamb and dry-aged steaks. The dining room has a cosmopolitan flair and lively bar scene. The restaurant offers some nightly tasting menus and an attractively priced two-course menu is available as an option at lunch. Service is pleasantly refined.
