Cattus Island County Park

Cattus Island County Park is at 1170 Cattus Island Blvd. The island is actually a peninsula jutting into Barnegat Bay. The habitat in the 500-acre park is a quintessential transition zone between land and sea, with salt marsh blending into pine-oak uplands. The Cooper Environmental Center presents exhibits that relate to the area. Six miles of marked trails wind through the preserve, which also features a butterfly garden.
