AAA Editor Notes
Cadwalader Park is at Parkside and Stuyvesant aves. The park honors Dr. Thomas Cadwalader, a pioneer in the development of preventive inoculation; he vaccinated citizens against smallpox in the late 1740s. Laid out in 1891 by landscape designer Frederick Law Olmsted, the park features a deer paddock, a stream, a small lake and an arm of the historic Delaware-Raritan Canal.
