Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is between W. 62nd and 65th sts. and Columbus and Amsterdam aves.; 75-minute tours leave from the David Rubenstein Atrium on Broadway between 62nd and 63rd sts. Lincoln Center is a 16-acre complex of educational and artistic institutions. The buildings were designed by some of the nation's finest architects and house paintings, sculptures and limited-edition prints by leading artists. The center also is home to The Juilliard School, which contains four auditoriums and classrooms for music, dance and acting students.

Note: Large bags and backpacks are not permitted.

Tour $25; $20 (ages 65+ and students with ID); free (ages 0-5). Guided 75-minute tours are limited to 19 persons per tour. Reservations are recommended.

Tours generally depart Mon.-Sat. at 11:30 and 1:30, Sun. at 3, June-Feb.; Mon.-Fri. at 11:30 and 1:30, Sat. 11:30 and 3, Sun. at 3, rest of year. Tour schedule varies; phone ahead. Closed Jan. 1, July 4, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
