This bustling deli is like a time-machine back to a New York of a primordial era when the Brooklyn Dodgers were the new team in town.
AAA Inspector Notes
Classic Historic. This quintessential New York deli has been serving heaping portions of great Central European food since 1888. Binge on piled-high, steaming pastrami sandwiches or your choice of potato, sweet potato, broccoli or kasha knishes. Better yet, come for breakfast as you’ll have the whole day to work off your indulgences. Cash only when paying at the main register in the front of the restaurant, cards are accepted in back. There is a smaller outpost in Downtown Brooklyn on DeKalb Avenue.
