Levine Museum of the New South

Levine Museum of the New South is at 401 S. Tryon St. This museum's interactive, multisensory exhibits depict and interpret the city's historical evolution since the end of the Civil War. The centerpiece exhibit, Cotton Fields to Skyscrapers, features more than 1,000 artifacts, images, video and music clips and oral histories integrated into interactive environments, dramatically illustrating how the South in general and Charlotte in particular have both reinvented themselves in the last century and a half. Changing thematic exhibits also are presented.
