With a country setting amid beautiful grounds with a lake, this resort is still close enough to town to pop out to a show at the Flat Rock Playhouse.
AAA Inspector Notes
Set on 26 acres with a 30-acre lake, the layout and vintage style of this rural resort bring the setting of “Dirty Dancing” to mind. Accommodations include cozy hotel rooms located in two separate buildings, duplex cabins with porch swings, and six 1-4 bedroom cottages with kitchenettes. If you’re feeling active, head to the pool or tennis court, wander one of the many trails, or paddle a canoe or kayak on the lake. If you prefer your leisure time to be more, well, leisurely, seek out one of the hammocks, swings, or benches which are scattered all around the property, perfect for enjoying a book or nap. The on-site restaurant serves three meals daily, and buffet breakfast is included in many of the room rates.
