Greensboro Science Center, 4301 Lawndale Dr., offers interactive exhibits, a play area for young children and live entertainment. On the grounds are the OmniSphere Theater, which shows both full-dome and 3-D programs; a reptile gallery; areas where kids can interact with small animals; and a children's petting zoo. Among the inhabitants of the Animal Discovery Zoo are lemurs, gibbons, wallabies and a tiger.
The Wiseman Aquarium features penguins, otters, sharks, eels, hundreds of fish and rare Asian fishing cats that swim in the water to catch their prey. SKYWILD, a treetop adventure park, also is on the grounds.
