Classic. Since 1936, the family-run restaurant has been famous for its eastern North Carolina pulled pork barbecue, fried chicken and the original "Pig in a Puppy"—barbecue served in a giant hushpuppy. The menu also includes pork chops, fried shrimp and oysters, and changing daily specials such as chicken pastry and meatloaf.
