Hammocks Beach State Park

Hammocks Beach State Park, 1572 Hammocks State Beach Rd., covers 1,520 acres—just 32 on the mainland—as well as Bear, Huggins and Jones islands. Bear Island is reached by a seasonal passenger ferry located on Hammocks Beach Rd. off SR 24. A visitor center on the mainland has interpretive exhibits. A bathhouse and primitive camping are available on Bear Island.

Pets on leash are allowed, but not on the ferry.

Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted.
