Maritime Museum of the Atlantic

Maritime Museum of the Atlantic is at 1675 Lower Water St. Nova Scotia's rich maritime heritage is presented through such exhibits as Titanic: The Unsinkable Ship and Halifax; Shipwreck Treasures of Nova Scotia; Days of Sail; The Age of Steam; and Halifax Wrecked, an exhibit about the Halifax Explosion. The William Robertson & Son Ship Chandlery features hundreds of early-20th-century marine artifacts, supplies and navigational tools. Ship models, figureheads, bells, foghorns and other items are displayed throughout the museum.

Canada's first hydrographic vessel, CSS Acadia, is docked at the museum's wharf and may be toured summer and fall. The HMCS Sackville, one of the last remaining corvettes used for convoy escorts during WWII, is docked nearby June to late October.
