Las Vegas Natural History Museum

Las Vegas Natural History Museum, 900 Las Vegas Blvd. N., features walk-through dioramas representing animals in their natural habitats. The museum displays marine life and species from around the world. A mummified Cretaceous-era dinosaur is on display, as are animated dinosaurs and exhibits about the African savanna and rain forest. Additional highlights include mounted sharks, a 3,000-gallon shark and stingray tank, video presentations, plants and animals indigenous to Nevada, and hands-on displays.

“Treasures of Egypt” moved to the museum from the Luxor Hotel and Casino. The pieces in this collection of Egyptian antiquities are all replicas, but the quality is uniformly outstanding.
