The Brooklyn Historical Society, 128 Pierrepont St. at Clinton St., is in the restored 1881 Queen Anne-style building designed by George B. Post, architect of the New York Stock Exchange building. The collection includes historic maps and atlases of Brooklyn, genealogy collections, microfilm of Brooklyn and Long Island newspapers from the 19th and early 20th century as well as fine and decorative arts and changing exhibits.

Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.

$10; $6 (ages 62+); free (ages 0-11 and students with ID).
Hours
Wed.-Sun. noon-5. Library Wed.-Sat. 1-5. Closed Jan. 1, Easter, July 4, Thanksgiving, day after Thanksgiving and Christmas.
