Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum is in the landmark Andrew Carnegie Mansion at 2 E. 91st St. This Smithsonian Institution branch features historic and contemporary drawings, prints, textiles, ceramics, wall coverings, glass, metalwork and woodwork that present perspectives on the impact of design on daily life. The 210,000-piece collection representing cultures from around the world spans some 3,000 years. The Arthur Ross Terrace and Garden is on the grounds.
