Mount Vernon Hotel Museum & Garden

Mount Vernon Hotel Museum & Garden is at 421 E. 61st. St. between First and York aves. During its early 19th-century heyday the Mount Vernon Hotel was a fashionable country retreat lying just 4 miles outside the city limits. Eight rooms are furnished in period decorative arts, furniture, textiles and ephemera. A garden features plantings in configurations reminiscent of the era.
