George Eastman Museum is at 900 East Ave. This 50-room mansion, once occupied by George Eastman, the father of popular photography and motion picture film, has been restored to its early 1900s appearance. Formal gardens grace the 12.5-acre estate. The museum houses changing displays of photography, motion pictures and camera technology as well as purportedly the country’s largest film archives.

The Dryden Theatre presents evening film programs Tuesday through Sunday. Guided garden tours are offered May through September. Cell-phone tours and a research library are available.

Guided tours are available. Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.

Admission
$15; $13 (ages 65+); $5 (ages 5-17 and students with ID). Dryden Theatre $8; $4 (students with ID); free (ages 0-17).

Tues.-Sat. 10-5, Sun. 11-5. Dryden Theatre films Tues.-Sat. at 7:30 p.m., Sun. at 2. Guided house tours are given Tues.-Sat. at 10:30 and 2, Sun. at 2. Guided gallery tours depart Tues.-Sun. at 1. Guided garden tours are given daily at noon and 3:30, June-Aug.; Tues.-Fri. at noon, Sat.-Sun. at noon and 3:30, in May and Sept.
