Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge, with its headquarters 5 mi. e. on US 20/SR 5, covers more than 7,000 acres. A link in the Atlantic flyway, the refuge is a nesting and resting spot for migratory waterfowl and other birds including geese, ducks and shorebirds. The refuge also has a resident population of bald eagles. Facilities include a visitor center, nature trail, boat launch, public fishing site and two observation towers. A self-guiding 3.5-mile automobile tour is available along Wildlife Drive.
