Historic. A fine example of Oaxaca's slow-food movement, this restaurant offers a creative menu featuring local, fresh and organic ingredients in unique preparations. Salsa and guacamole is prepared tableside and adjusted for your palate. The grilled, whole baby octopus in a smoky cheese sauce with Oaxacan chorizo has a pungent flavor. There are a variety of mole influenced dishes prepared with venison, lamb shank and sea bass. The restaurant closes earlier than usual on Sunday, at 9 p.m.
