Cleveland Museum of Natural History is at 1 Wade Oval Dr. in University Circle. The museum makes science relatable with such exhibits as Amazing Insects, Audubon's Birds of America and The Kirtland Hall of Prehistoric Life (temporarily off exhibit for reconstruction) where a Haplocanthosaurus delfsi, T. rex and triceratops dinosaurs reside. .

The Andy Warhol Endangered Species exhibit is in the reopened Corning Gallery and serves as a new home for rotating exhibits that highlight the intersection of art and nature. The Ralph Perkins II Wildlife Center and Woods Garden—Presented by KeyBank includes flora and fauna indigenous to Ohio, including oak and maple trees, bald eagles, bobcats, owls and river otters plus innovative overhead animal trailways. Other exhibits showcase Ohio archeology, birds, dinosaurs and cultural artifacts from seven continents.

The Shafran Planetarium features more than 5,000 stars, nebulae, galaxies and planets; the Muller Observatory contains a 10.5-inch refracting telescope which provides an excellent vantage point for visitors to observe astronomical events. The hands-on learning Smead Discovery Center, Birdly flight simulators, 3-D movies and live animal shows also are offered.

Note: The museum is undergoing a major renovation and expansion that is expected to be completed in 2024; the museum intends to stay open throughout the project. Please purchase admission tickets to the museum ahead of visit online.
