Stone Academy

Stone Academy is s. via Maysville Pike (SR 93/US 22), then just e. to 115 Jefferson St. This 1809 building was used as a school and for public functions. Ohio Antislavery Society conventions were held here in 1835 and 1839. A hiding place under the floor was used by slaves on the Underground Railroad. A museum contains historical documents, period clothing, fine art and furniture.
