This restaurant, located in a historic remodeled church and school, features a ceiling of exposed original walnut log beams. The chef de cuisine offers a seasonally revised menu that balances selections of fresh seafood, veal, game and poultry with an emphasis on local, sustainably produced meats and produce. An extensive wine list is oriented toward French and California vintages but also is well balanced with choices from other regions. Special desserts include crème brûlée and pear tarte. A sophisticated and romantic setting, creatively conceived dishes and a highly trained staff all add up to a wonderful fine dining experience. The restaurant conducts periodic musical dinner presentations (jazz, bluegrass, and opera) in a private upstairs room. These sessions are available by reservation only.
