Edmond Historical Society & Museum is at 431 S. Boulevard, in Stephenson Park. The history of Edmond is traced through thematic exhibits, starting with its settlement in 1887 as a coal and water replenishment stop for the Santa Fe Railroad. Permanent, temporary and traveling exhibits on Native Americans, early Edmond settlers, business, agriculture, education, city government and services, religion and athletics are on display in the main gallery. The Children's Learning Center is modeled after a miniature 1889 town and features interactive exhibits which include a train station, a bank, a sheriff's office and a general store. A Genealogical Library and Research Center is available inside the museum.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 45 minutes minimum.
