Heavener-Runestone Park, 3 mi. n.e. off US 59/270 on CR E1460, following signs, contains a 12-foot-high, 10-foot-wide stone with runic alphabet carvings believed to have been made by Viking explorers about 750. The stone can be reached via a 100-yard trail. An interpretive center, community building, amphitheater, picnic area, playground and primitive camping facilities also are available.
