Fort Henry National Historic Site is e. on Hwy. 2 at Hwy. 15 (Hwy. 401 exit 623). Built during the War of 1812, the fort has been restored as a museum of British and Canadian military history. Interactive displays depict garrison life in the 1860s with rooms containing displays of militaria, clothing and artifacts. Others rooms house 19th-century military and naval arms and equipment.

The Garrison Parade is a 30-minute presentation of music, drill and artillery. The children's Military Muster Parade, offered three times daily, gives children the chance to “play soldier” with the Fort Henry Guard. The Guard also performs muster drills and military demonstrations. The Victorian schoolroom offers lessons in 1860s history and occasional opportunities to visit Fort Henry's goat mascot. Fort Fright, conducted by lantern-light, is a haunted Halloween walking tour of the fortress.
