AAA Editor Notes
Rockcliffe Park, 4 km (2.5 mi.) n.e. of Parliament Hill via Sussex Dr., is a 137-hectare (338-acre) recreation and picnic area overlooking the Ottawa River. Walking paths and scenic overlooks are offered. In spring, the park's rockeries explode with color as thousands of daffodils and trees bloom. Nearby at Remic Rapids Park (1 km (.6 mi.) s. of jct. Parkdale Avenue and Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway) are free-standing, balanced natural rock sculptures, similar to inukshuks, first created by artist John Felice Ceprano in 1986, covering more than 2 hectares (6 acres). Each spring, the artist creates new sculptures for visitors to enjoy.

Picnicking is permitted.
