Jackson Park—Queen Elizabeth II Garden, Tecumseh Rd. and Ouellette Ave., is a sunken garden composed of more than 10,000 plants and flowers. Rose gardens surround a Lancaster Bomber, a memorial to those in the Royal Canadian Air Force killed in World War II. Several memorials and monuments are in the park, including ones to Copernicus, the father of modern astronomy, and to poet Robert Burns.
