Saint-Ignace II, 1.5 km (.9 mi.) s. of Hwy. 12 between Victoria Harbour and Waubaushene, is the mission site of the martyrdom of fathers Jean de Brébeuf and Gabriel Lalemant. They were tortured and martyred by the Iroquois in 1649.
