AAA Editor Notes
The Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens, 8 km (5 mi.) n. of the falls on Niagara Pkwy., is the home of The Niagara Parks School of Horticulture, said to be the only residential school in Canada for apprentice gardeners. Floral displays and formal and informal gardens, including 2,300 varieties of roses, are on the 40-hectare (99-acre) site.
Other gardens include rock, herb, annual, perennial and vegetable. The best viewing time is April through October, when the blooms are at their peak.
