Canada Aviation and Space Museum, at 11 Aviation Pkwy., houses two hangars with a collection of more than 130 aircraft. A separate section includes profiles of Canadian NASA astronauts who have traveled into space aboard the Space Shuttle and who have docked at the International Space Station. The space exhibit showcases items that went into space with the astronauts as well as interactive displays, including a simulator screen, where visitors can try out the controls of Canadarm 2, a Canadian-designed robotic arm used on the Endeavour space shuttle.

The aviation museum displays Canadian- and foreign-designed aircraft that span the entire history of human flight, including an impressive display of military aircraft and early commercial and pleasure aircraft. Visitors may view a rare nose section of the Avro fighter and a Canadian-designed warplane prototype. Also on display are early 20th-century vintage planes, bush planes, World War I and II allied planes (such as the Spitfire and Hawker Hurricane), as well as the Nazi Komet, search and rescue helicopters, 1950s-era commercial aircraft, Bombardier regional business jets and modern Air Canada jets. The main hangar visit and guided tour is included in the price of admission; a guided tour of the reserve hangar is available for an extra fee and a kids tour is offered for ages 4-7. Flights aboard an open-air twin-winged vintage airplane are offered for an extra fee.

Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
