Central Experimental Farm, on the Driveway at Maple Dr., consists of 427 hectares (1,055 acres). Established in 1886, the farm is the headquarters and research station of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. Flowerbeds, ornamental gardens, an arboretum and a tropical greenhouse are showcased, and various historical buildings are on the site. The Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, at 901 Prince of Wales Dr., features farm-related demonstrations and exhibits, and a variety of farm animals, including alpacas, cattle, pigs and Clydesdale horses. The museum also has bread and tractor exhibits.

Grounds free. Museum $12; $10 (ages 60+, students with ID and ages 3-17); free (ages 0-2 and to all 4-5 p.m.); $33 (family, two adults and four children), Mar.-Oct. $10; $8 (ages 60+, students with ID and ages 3-17); free (ages 0-2 and to all 4-5 p.m.); $26 (family, two adults and four children), rest of year.
Parking
$3 per hour ($8 maximum per day); $4 flat fee after 5 p.m.

Grounds open daily dawn-dusk. Tropical Greenhouse open Mon.-Fri. 9-4, Sun. 10-4. Museum open daily 9-5, Mar.-Oct. 31; Wed.-Sun. 9-5, rest of year.
