High Park

High Park is at Bloor St. W. and Parkside Dr. A former estate, the park covers 161 hectares (400 acres). Features include the Hillside Gardens, Grenadier Pond, sunken gardens, flowers, hanging basket gardens, nature trails, an oak woodlands walking tour, ponds, rockeries and streams, a mini-zoo, swimming and wading pools, catch and release fishing (valid license required), playgrounds, a leash-free dog park, a trackless scenic train tour and cross-country skiing. Canadian Stage performs Shakespeare plays in an open-air theater from July to early September.

Picnicking is permitted. Food is available.
