Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals is off US 26W exit 61B, just n. to Groveland Dr., then 1.3 mi. w. to 26385 N.W. Groveland Dr. A 9,000-square-foot exhibit space contains thousands of world-class minerals, crystals, fossils, meteorites, petrified wood and fluorescents. Visitors can see copper minerals, a variety of gems, agates and red rhodochrosite.

Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.

$10; $9 (ages 60+); $7 (ages 5-17 and military with ID).
Wed.-Fri. 1-5, Sat.-Sun. 10-5. Closed Jan. 1, July 4, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
