Leach Botanical Garden is at 6704 S.E. 122nd Ave. Former home of John and botanist Lilla Leach, the garden contains 2,000 species of plants, including an extensive collection of Siskiyou Mountain/Wilderness and Pacific Northwest natives. Deer, rabbits and squirrels make their home here as well as hummingbirds, hawks, dragonflies and butterflies. Fish and other aquatic creatures can be found in Johnson Creek. The 16.5-acre garden includes a manor house, historic stone cabin and 1.5 miles of pathways.
Note: The garden is under construction/renovations, but will remain open. The work should be completed by Fall 2020. Check website for current information.
