Tillamook Air Museum is at 6030 Hangar Rd. The museum is housed in a former blimp hangar that served as a U.S. Navy air station for Lighter-Than-Air (LTA) anti-submarine activities during World War II. It is one of the world's largest clear-span wood buildings. Aircraft on display include an Aero Spacelines Mini Guppy cargo plane, an F-14A Tomcat and a Soviet MiG-17. An exhibit hall contains photographs of the hangar construction, wartime memorabilia as well as rare aviation relics, including a World War II Luftwaffe flight jacket and remains from the German airship Hindenburg.
