Baker Mansion History Museum, 1 mi. w. of US 220 via Logan Blvd., was the home of ironmaster Elias Baker. The Greek Revival mansion, completed in 1849, is the headquarters of the Blair County Historical Society. Items on display include carved oak furniture that Mr. Baker imported from Belgium and material about the Loyal War Governors Conference, a group that met in September 1862 in support of President Lincoln and the preservation of the Union. Railroad artifacts, memorabilia from the Civil War and World Wars I and II, and documents and other historical objects relating to the history and heritage of Blair County also are included.

A research library is available. Special events are held throughout the year.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
