John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove is at Audubon and Pawlings rds. On the 175-acre nature preserve is Mill Grove, home in the early 1800s of John James Audubon, noted artist, author and naturalist. Now a museum, the house contains displays of Audubon's paintings, drawings and taxidermy specimens. Numerous trails wind through the grounds, which serve as a wildlife sanctuary. Docents are available to answer questions.
